First day

First day

About us

It is now my husband and I after many years of taking care of our family. Beginning with a wonderful son until he left home to become a Marine and as recently as taking care of my mother until her passing and all the life and love in between. We've been happily married since 1982 and I can hardly wait to see what the next 26 years brings. It's been a great ride!

Doberman day

It's a Doberman day around here. Just because...Misty is so funny. She was just about to sneeze.
Sheba just wants to have fun!
Hank just likes to stop and smell the flowers along the way. What a sweet soul he is.
Phoenix was a bright light in our lives the short time he was with us. Heart problems took him from us after only 6 years. He sure loved being on the truck with us.
Jake: a combination of every one of the special dogs I've had in my life. I can't be sure but he may have been the most special of all. Time will tell.

How about a way back picture today?
Would you look at the size of that stump? I'm sure that's why the picture was taken. It's a wonder they didn't make us climb up there. Would have been fun!

Well, things are moving rapidly along. Sis is having surgery in less than a week to take care of her blocked artery. What a blessing they found it before a heart attack or stroke!
Well, it's several hours later and I'm about done in for the day.
Some days are diamonds!

Who knew?

It's pretty dang chilly this a.m./p.m.. Hoping it's the last hoorah. Put a few more house plants out yesterday and several more to go. Want to get the garage cleaned out so we can put a car in it again. Been for the bike for a long time. The truck and van are too big to go in there but I think T's new car will fit just fine as soon as we get the tack out and some junk.
This "chrome" browser is going to work out just fine I think. I suggested to T last night to try it for his browsing style and it worked much better than IE9. I haven't figured out how to add my yahoo bar and not sure I'll be able to but that's okay - I can still use the IE.
Wanted to share this picture of Hank rocking himself to sleep.Still having trouble uploading pictures! Dang that makes me mad. I'd rather share pictures than talk. Not in the cards today. Some days are diamonds ....some are stone. Not sure which this one is.

Good morning!

Well, I've downloaded the chrome browser and trying that. Blogger no longer was supported by IE9, blah blah blah. Wondering why everything has to change every 5 minutes. haha

Been fighting this crap and feeling like crap. Some times feels like I'm having a heart attack and won't make it. Good grief. I'm praying it's really just severe heartburn. May have it whooped now. I've got to feel better.
My sweet pea about a week old.
My sweet pea almost 3 yrs old.
Here's my girl Elvira about 5 days  old.

Here's mother and daughter in 2011. A few months later momma crossed the rainbow bridge.
I could go on and on about my big hairy kids. And the little hairy kids and the feathered kids. lol
I always have things to say on here when I don't have time to put fingers on the keyboard. Now that I have time I can't think of them.

We had a week off (Tim had a week off)The first day we went to Marshfield with Lee's help we picked up a horse trailer full of stuff to store for mom. Made it back late afternoon. The yard had been mowed. We're thinking the city done it as Char hadn't contacted the mowing service yet. The water hadn't been turned on either. Guess Devon will do that while he's here getting his teeth fixed.
Tim fixed the gutter on the carport, brush hogged and fixed a few other things around the place. Took care of me when I felt like crap. We had 1.85" of rain during the week too. And another 1.1" on Sunday. Grass is loving it. So are the horses. There's a bale of hay in the ring and it's been there for a couple of weeks now. They have no interest in it at all. Of course that saves us money but I'd like to see the grass grow a little bit before they eat it down. lol

It's absolutely beautiful outside. The temp is around 55*, a slight breeze (when isn't there a breeze here?) and the sun is shining. Doesn't get much better than that. I managed a 25 minute walk on the treadmill this a.m.. only had slight pain after. Yay! I ate a few tums and it mostly went away. I think it's almost nap time.

The day started out so nice. I felt good for a change. By noon I was used up and feeling sick. The kids came by and woke me at 3:30. Did  a fast walk around with Jeanne with some bling in her hair while Aiden rode her. I was barely able to keep up appearances while they were here. Hard to pretend to feel good when you want to drop to your knees. Some days are diamonds and stones.

Happy Easter !

We don't get to go to Spfd for our traditional Easter breakfast with family but we'll have a different family to spend time with. Sandi and I will be taking MomPat to mass this a.m. and if that goes well I plan on taking her to lunch. If S agrees that is. haha Tim is working, haven't heard from the kids for a few days. Lee was suppose to call Friday, left them a message yesterday and still no word. He ask me to call and remind Sunday about the move on Monday. Maybe they will answer the phone this time.
I did get the dogs done on Wed. and uploaded the one picture I did take.
He's a sweetie. See how big Sam's collar looks now? They were long past due for a haircut. Didn't take one of Bud/Butter since he had to be completely shaved. Poor fella was awful dirty. I'll print this one out and give it to mom to keep with her. She won't like the short eyebrows but it's best for Sam.
About two weeks ago, maybe less we had some hotdogs off the gas grill. Sure were good. Yesterday as I looked out the kitchen window I saw a bird go up under the lid of the same grill. I went out to check and this is what I found!
Sure didn't take them long to fill that sucker up!
Just realized I didn't check the rain gauge after the storms went through. I'll do that before we leave. When I don't have to use a flash light to do it. I bought 2 mater plants at the feed store a couple of days ago. Cherokee Purple of course. I will keep them on the porch until I think the last of the frost has gone. I think it is now but don't want to have to go out and cover them etc. ..oh, I checked the orchard yesterday too. If there's no frost, looks like a bumper crop of plums and cherries. Quite a few peaches too but since we didn't get those sprayed BEFORE they were in full bloom they all have leaf curl ! AGAIN! Apples had some blooms too. No curl so far. Sometimes ...........
Guess I'd better get around. Got pictures to print (after replacing ink cartridge), clothes to pick out etc. See ya ...gonna be a diamond.

Super Saturday

Gonna be.. Good morning! It's 5 a.m. and Tim's off to work and I'm getting ready for breakfast. I have to eat something so my pills don't make me sick. Some days they do, no matter what.

Good Grief!

How frustrating this new computer has been with all it's little glitches etc. Slowly getting them taken care of - the frustrating part is "it should work CORRECTLY out of the box!" You know what I mean?
Now with those glitches added to the new and IMPROVED IE(9) (I use that term very lightly) the blogger stuff doesn't always work and wants me to change my browser to google chrome.....nope not happening....
Gonna try and start my treadmill work again this a.m...haven't done it since Feb 9 when I made my trip to the hospital. Now my legs can hurt along with those poor muscles I used grooming the dogs ! haha
Be back in awhile....maybe

Another wonderful Wednesday

Trying the new blogger face this a.m.. we'll see.
It's a little cloudy this morning but it's gonna be another great day. T is working OT and just left on the bike.
Well, dadgummit! Seems it will only let me load one picture at a time or per day. Not sure which. It just stops working .....anyway, today's picture is another basket I finished after the big one I was working on.
Not sure if I will go and groom the dogs today or not. Catching up on laundry and need to make a deposit today. Seems to be a day of uncertainy.
Some days are diamonds.

Terrific Tuesday

This will be a good day. I'm sure of it. We got a new mattress yesterday by way of the internet. A memory foam type to replace the "firm" mattress we've suffered with for years. Tim woke up with no back pain! I had less pain!
We also bought a new computer. Among the other things we've paid off. Borrowed from ourselves (401k)and paid off some other debt. Feels good. It will be paid off before retirement and paying ourselves a small amount of interest. Getting the floors fixed. At the minimum the subfloors. Probably won't be able to add "floor covering" but I can live with that.
We went to see mom at the home. Sandi and I. Was supposed to meet the aunt and a cousin but they chose to ignore ours and mom's request and go early. So much for that family.
S has suggested to Char to move mom in a place that should be nicer all around according to the gob website. Saying prayer that will happen.
Our next plan will be moving the stuff out of the house next week and being done with our end of this tradegy. The steps after that will be entirely up to Char.
  On to other things:
Just wanted to see these guys this a.m..
Tried to upload some other pics but it wouldn't cooperate. Maybe next time. Had a couple of basket pics and one of Miss Betty saying hello.
Got the old computer cleaned out of our crap and passing it on to Lee and BK. I think they may enjoy being online a lot more than with their win98 laptop. Hope so. Now trying to clean up all the damn wires etc. What a mess!
All the morning birds greeted me as well as our resident owl. I love listening to them. Was up getting a drink at 2 a.m. and could hear the night songbirds. How cool is that?
Some days are diamonds!

Terrific Tuesday

I'm just sure of it! Starting out just beautiful. Nice temps and will top out around 80*. Doesn't get much better than that. Got some laundry going already, watched the news blah blah blah. Took the bike to town yesterday for some lunch and checked on a bed at the furniture store. We decided to re build the one we have. We ordered a new mattress and are so looking forward to having something that will help relieve some of our aches and pains. Saying prayers and keeping fingers crossed!
Tim is sleeping in this a.m..
Look closely. This is a building! Isn't that too cool? Found this online somewhere last year or two. It's the Longablah bla building. If I type the real name in there people might show up on my blog because of the name. You know, like when you do a search for something and wonder why in the world did that site show up ?!
