First day

First day

About us

It is now my husband and I after many years of taking care of our family. Beginning with a wonderful son until he left home to become a Marine and as recently as taking care of my mother until her passing and all the life and love in between. We've been happily married since 1982 and I can hardly wait to see what the next 26 years brings. It's been a great ride!

Terrific Tuesday

This will be a good day. I'm sure of it. We got a new mattress yesterday by way of the internet. A memory foam type to replace the "firm" mattress we've suffered with for years. Tim woke up with no back pain! I had less pain!
We also bought a new computer. Among the other things we've paid off. Borrowed from ourselves (401k)and paid off some other debt. Feels good. It will be paid off before retirement and paying ourselves a small amount of interest. Getting the floors fixed. At the minimum the subfloors. Probably won't be able to add "floor covering" but I can live with that.
We went to see mom at the home. Sandi and I. Was supposed to meet the aunt and a cousin but they chose to ignore ours and mom's request and go early. So much for that family.
S has suggested to Char to move mom in a place that should be nicer all around according to the gob website. Saying prayer that will happen.
Our next plan will be moving the stuff out of the house next week and being done with our end of this tradegy. The steps after that will be entirely up to Char.
  On to other things:
Just wanted to see these guys this a.m..
Tried to upload some other pics but it wouldn't cooperate. Maybe next time. Had a couple of basket pics and one of Miss Betty saying hello.
Got the old computer cleaned out of our crap and passing it on to Lee and BK. I think they may enjoy being online a lot more than with their win98 laptop. Hope so. Now trying to clean up all the damn wires etc. What a mess!
All the morning birds greeted me as well as our resident owl. I love listening to them. Was up getting a drink at 2 a.m. and could hear the night songbirds. How cool is that?
Some days are diamonds!
