First day

First day

About us

It is now my husband and I after many years of taking care of our family. Beginning with a wonderful son until he left home to become a Marine and as recently as taking care of my mother until her passing and all the life and love in between. We've been happily married since 1982 and I can hardly wait to see what the next 26 years brings. It's been a great ride!

Chilly morning and beyond

Yesterday it was 47* when we got up. Dang, that was chilly. Stayed that way all day and after my nap it had rained! Was glad of that. Forgot to check the gauge tho. Will do that this a.m. . Thursday we treated the yard, treated the dogs and bombed the house. That was an all day thing and oh, also took Hank down to the vet to find out what I knew already. He's allergic to fleas!!!! Just my luck. Will do the best we can in the future. That's about $80 a month for the dogs to be treated year 'round. Not sure if I can find that at this moment in time. Bet I do. They are worth it ....what can I say?
  Look at these faces:
While we waited the appropriate amount of time on the bomb we took the opportunity to go to my sister's house and help her with the computer. Updated a few things for her and added the Chrome web browser. I think they will both benefit from it right now. I'm so glad that Donna  mentioned it on her blog months ago.
Kept the great grands for a couple of days. Needless to say this was a big hit! They each took several rides and loved it. They each also gave Buck a big kiss and thanks for the ride.....so sweet.
On Saturday, the 26th we went to Springfield for a morning wedding. Steve and Tina had a very nice one. They plan on honeymooning on the Hot Rod power tour. That will be so fun for them. It was so good seeing everyone. Had been a long time.
